This lab will be staffed with student lab attendants periodically though out the week during the regular school year. Twenty-four hour access will be available via key card during normal semester hours. The Charlson Computer Lab is located on the first floor of Hoover Library. This lab is used for general student access. It is equipped with 25 dual boot iMac computers running both Mac 10.4 and Windows XP, four HP 4250N Laserjet printers.

Software packages include: Microsoft Office XP Pro, DreamWeaver, FireWorks, SPSS (6 machines only), and Internet Explorer, Netscape, and Practica Musica.

During the regular Fall and Spring semesters, the Charlson Lab may be accessed 24-hours a day with the exception of 8:00-10:00am on Thursday mornings when the lab is CLOSED for cleaning and maintenance. The lab is unlocked for student access between 8:00am and 12 midnight. To access the lab after attendant hours, you will need to check out a key card from Hoover Library. Key cards may be kept for up to 72 hours. Overdue keycards are presumed lost and will be deactivated (they will no longer open the lab door). The student will be billed accordingly. Should you have any problem with the equipment during normal working hours and an attendant is not available or is unable to help with your particular problem you may call X-3329 to leave a message, or after-hours, please notify Information Technology by sending email to labhelp@mcdaniel.edu
